Two myths interweaved …
As Demeter devastates the country meanwhile she is mourning for her daughter Persephone caught by Hades, La Llorona does not stop searching and mourning for her drowned children in the toxic river. The women’s mourning can be also understood as a process of mourning the dead born, murdered and driven out creative babies that some souls could not give birth to.
